Well, I have had this idea for almost a year now, but things happen. I figure if I keep putting this off, I will never get it started , so here I begin. This blog will be all about life as a woman, mother, Christian, crafty chic, and life as it happens. I certainly don’t claim to be intellectual. In fact, I usually have “mommy mush brain” most of the time. If you have been a mommy, you know what I mean. Every sentence is over simplified and you can never seem to express the right thing because there are a thousand thoughts floating in your mind at that very moment that seem to make your words seem illiterate and uneducated (which you thought would never happen with a well rounded education degree from a respectable school…years and years ago). Well, anyway, I say all that to say that while I will make every attempt to be interesting, I promise nothing!
I will, however, be myself! If I can’t get my mind off chocolate, you may hear about it. If I am feeling a bit too domestic (baking tends to become a monthly habit with me), I will share those moments as well. And, if scripture I am studying gives me a thought or two, I will do my best to share my insight.
A little bit about me…just in case you don’t know me.
My name is Kimberly and I am married to my best friend, Jonathan Snow Carpenter. We have a wonderful little boy named Micah Ryne. He is one year old (as of Oct. 13th!). He is my employer (ok, I am a stay-at-home-mommy). I grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. I met my husband at college. We married and moved to Waco, TX for him to work on his master’s degree in music composition. I taught 3-5 grades while we were there for three years. After that, we moved to Colorado. Jonathan began doctoral work at CU in Boulder while I taught 5th grade. It was during that time that God called Jonathan into full time music ministry. We were in Colorado for a year before returning to Arkansas. Now, we currently live in Monticello, AR. We have a “sweet” cat named Ozma to round out our happy family (“sweet” meaning only to our household, everyone else BEWARE).
Anyway, now begins this blog. It may never be read, but I felt like it was something I needed to do. So here we go….Hop on along for the ride!
